Make Mine a Miracle

Tomorrow brings the new moon in Aquarius.  If you have read previous new moon articles, you know that this is a time to set intentions for the next lunar cycle (1 month).  The energy following the new moon is always strong, peaking at the full moon two weeks later, and waning in the two weeks following that event.

So the time to plan and assess is now and get ready to put those plans in motion starting Monday.  We are well into the Aquarius season right now and we may be feeling/observing the tension and need for balance between expressing our individuality and the desire to connect and participate in groups.  People who have strong Aquarius influences in their charts, most particularly Uranus aspecting their Sun, Moon or Ascendant will likely feel this energy in a strong way.  Saturn is also the traditional ruler of Aquarius and it is a fixed sign, so the structure of Saturn can help with finding our boundaries of where we start and end in relation to the collective. 

The new moon aspects points from last Fall’s eclipse in Scorpio and the upcoming one in May in Taurus.  It’s a mid-point between the two and as such is a potent time.  What were you going through last November?  Some of those issues may come up for you over the next few days and weeks and will be seen from a new perspective or with new context.  We’re all transitioning, and this moon will highlight some key elements of this transition depending on where it falls in your chart.  With the collection of planetary energy in Pisces, we are also invited to tap into our intuition in any given situation to gain deeper understanding of these aspects.  Uranus energy is also very intuitive, and it comes like lightning strikes, so don’t be surprised at any ‘epiphanies” you may experience, although you can’t ever predict what they will be, such is the nature of Uranus – surprises. : )

So, you might want to contemplate yourself and your truth and whether or not you feel it still resonates with those groups, communities and tribes with whom you interact.  Aquarius is an air sign and often associated with those relationships that we have that are friendly and light rather than deep soul connections.  However, at this point in our collective history, everything has meaning.  So even with lighter type relations and interactions, we are served by observing what needs those address within us.  And with the link to Jupiter in Gemini, we want to pay particular attention to the messages we receive from those relationships and what they mean for our own spiritual journey and growth. 

This time of reflection and planning is the next step on our yearly voyage where we soon head into Pisces season.  We are already getting flavours of this as Mercury and Mars are hanging out there now.  Soon the Sun will transit there as will Venus.  Venus is exalted in Pisces, so we will have some incredible experiences over that time as we bring our learning and our relationships to new levels.  In order to be great lovers of others, we need to be great lovers of ourselves.  Aquarius energy says, “be clear on who you are and what your place is in the big scheme”.  This is important knowledge moving forward.  As beautiful as the Pisces experience is, Neptunian energy seeks to dissolve boundaries and merge.  We will need some touchstones of clarity as reference points and for grounding, so be mindful of locating them in the next few weeks.  Happy New Moon.  We’re a little closer to Spring and the astrological new year. : )
